• WHAT DO I DO?!? THE GATE WAS CLOSED WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE FACILITY!!!

  • You will need to press the call button and ask Miss Carol to let you in. She’s great, but old-school. We suggest you remember your manners!

• WHATEVER SHALL I WEAR?

  • Why, wear whatever the hell you want, of course! We’re going to have fun with our wardrobe, we hope you will, too!

• CAN I TAKE A SELFIE WITH THE POSSUM?

  • We encourage it! Yon possum is our friend! They do not have rabies! Let’s get this marsupial some social media love!

• CAN I ASK THE PHOTOGRAPHERS TO TAKE MY PICTURE?

  • Of course! But also, we hope you’ll give Jade and Matthew room to work as they see fit. We chose them for a reason, and we think the pictures we want (and want to share with you) will be much better if they aren’t posed or set shots.

  • Also, anyone caught being a meanie to a photographer might just get a shoe thrown at them by the bride. Consider yourself warned!

• CAN I BRING MY IPAD TO TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

  • We would appreciate it if you didn’t block out the sun like that! And while we’re at it, we’d like to invite you to refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony and be in the moment with us. Once the ceremony’s done, feel free to snap away!

• DID SOMEBODY SAY SOMETHING ABOUT A POSSUM?

  • You betcha! Have you heard you can take a selfie with them?

• WHAT THE HECK IS A GOPHER TORTOISE?

  • Gopher Tortoises are a protected species that is thriving on Oatland Island, as such you may see areas of caution tape around the grounds. There’s usually a big, deep hole in the middle of that tape, so don’t get all tipsy and go stumbling down the tortoise hole, please!

• SPEAKING OF TIPSY, IS THERE BOOZE AT THE PARTY?

  • Indeed there is! Due to the property being managed by the school district, we were forced to mortgage off the right to have kids attend the wedding so as to allow you adults your beer and wine. Celebrate! This said, we ask you imbibe responsibly please! There are plenty of Lyfts and Ubers in town and they’d be happy to get you home safely.

  • Also, Savannah PD is happy to give you a ride to jail, if you think you’re ok to drive. Just sayin’. Don’t risk it!
